So if like me you bought GTA 4 on release day and you rushed home to play on it, sadly to find that after the 7 minute 20 second installation, the game freezes within 10 minutes of playing and sporadic freezing there after. The controller freezes disabling you from being able to quit the game or restarting the console. The only way to try again is by hard reseting the system (very dangerous for your HDD)

After having a 15 minte conversation with Rockstar Games techincal support team, they stated that they were not allowed to say anything on the matter and that all they could do was to take my details and contact me in the future regarding a possible fix or news on the matter. They did however inform me that by deleting the game save data and game data from my PS3, this would solve my problem.. so after re-installing the game for a second time, I had everything crossed in hope that it would no longer freeze… A good hour passed and I thought I was in the clear.. unfortunately the wrost happened and it froze again.. Since this I have taken the game out and am awaiting to hear from Rockstar about a fix, I do not want to risk damaging my PS3.. This is a very big problem for the creators of one of the most highly anticipated games!
